Giving Manger TIPS 🎄❤️:
1) Let the kids put in straw by themselves. Sometimes they tell you what they did, sometimes they don’t
2) Have fun with it. Don’t stress. We’ve had years where we put 20 pieces of straw in the day before Christmas. And that is awesome too.
3) A little challenge from Mom goes a long way. Who can put in 5 pieces of straw today?
4) Point out kindness when you see it. My little guy isn’t a man of many words, but they other day he told his sister she did a good job on the drawing she made. He didn’t see the kindness in that, but I did and I had him go put a piece of straw in the manger.
5) If all else fails, do something for them. There is no better way to get your kids giving then to do something simple for them and then let them see you put a piece of straw in the manger. Write them a note, put their backpack away for them, make their favorite treat, do one of their chores. 📸 @arielctyson #mangermoments
