"it's been so fun to introduce a new tradition from @thegivingmanger into our home for the holidays. throughout Christ's life he was always giving, loving, serving and never receiving. The concept behind the giving manger is simple. for every good deed, or act of service completed you get to place a piece of straw in baby Jesus's manger. I've loved watching the manger magically fill up every day with little pieces of straw. which also means that things like dishes being done, and beds made are being accomplished without me asking. the best part is that when all of the pieces of straw make it into the manger you get to place baby Jesus in it. L can't wait, I think she's on service overload trying to get 'baby Jesus in his bed.'"
