"I am so excited to introduce my family to @thegivingmanger this Christmas Season. The Giving manger is a way to remind you and your children that Christmas at its core is about giving not getting. The idea is for your family to read the book together at the beginning of the season and set up the manger in a place little hands can easily reach. The book teaches the children that as we do deeds of service for others in and out of our home we are to place a piece of straw in the manger. The goal is by Christmas morning to fill the manger with hay for the baby Jesus to be placed upon. I think @thegivingmanger is a creative and practical way to teach our children about serving others out of a thankful heart for the greatest servant of all Jesus Christ. I am hoping to plan a few family service projects during the season in addition to the service we all do in the home.
