Dear Kids,
We're about to prepare for Christmas. Your friends will tell you it's all about the presents. For others, it will be about other festivities. I'll be tempted to get busy finding the perfect gift for you. But this year, I'm going to try to remember why I pick out gifts for you. Why we celebrate this season. We celebrate because of Jesus and the gift He first gave to us. My aim is to be your anchor to show you what Christmas is all about. But if I forget, I am sure I'll be reminded of the real purpose every time I watch YOU give to someone else and put hay in the manger. Every time I see you follow my lead and example to seek out an opportunity to give, you'll slow me down and remind me what it's really all about. Let's make Jesus the center. Together.
