“So...a REALLY cute girl stopped by our house today with a perfect present and this darling hand drawn card for Dakota that says "You've got a friend in me!" Dakota was ALL smiles and my heart melted. As I tried to take his picture afterward he just had this smirk like, "Mom... what do you expect?!" 😂 .
I cannot tell you how grateful I am for SOOOOO many good people in this world. People whose hearts are SO full of love that they cannot help but share. Our family has been the recipient of WAY more then our fair share!!! It is my hope and prayer EVERY SINGLE day that I am able to slow down, look up, and give love like THIS! AND to teach my kids to do the same! .
In this fast paced world we are living in it is SO easy to stay in our own lanes, keep moving forward, and only see what WE want to see. I do it ALL the time... using my own excuses that I already have a lot on my plate and I'm too busy surviving myself to do any good for someone else!! .
But the truth is it doesn't take much to turn someone's day around, to show love, and to help others feel Gods love for them through you!! It just takes noticing and doing!!!! So here's to a new day...I challenged Navy tonight to find someone to "give" to and I'm challenging myself and anyone who has read this far to do the same! 😉 Think of the world we could create if EVERYONES goal was to show love to others...to step outside of ourselves and give!! 🙌 ❤ .
